Do You Blog? Have You Discovered the Secret to Make Money From It?

These days, no matter where you go on the Internet, no matter which forum you visit, you will find one constant question posted by numerous people - "Do you have a blog? Can you really make money from it?"

Most people who reply, say yes. How many of these people who reply actually make money from their blogs? Well, this is a moot question. We do not really know. But I am assuming that it cannot be too many. How many money making bloggers have we heard of after say, the Problogger Darren Rowse, John Chow, Derek Shoemoney and John Cow? Not too many. So what about the other millionaires?

The fact is that not too many people actually know how to make money from their blogs. They do however know that it is possible, and they are correct. Unfortunately, most people today wrongly point fingers at various affiliate programs, Google adsense, paid links and on-site advertisements as big revenue sources. They forget the basic revenue earner for a blog.

The best way to make money from your blog is from blogging. Why don't you blog and make others pay for what you write? When John Chow started his Internet Business, this was what he started making money from. In blogger terms, these are known as "Reviews". If you are a good enough blogger, and have managed to maintain a quality blog, it is possible that advertisers (representing various products and services) will pay you money to write about their products. Why? because it gives their product more visibility and credibility to be talked about in a quality blog. Additionally, it also gives them good quality backlinks.

And this money, can be "BIG MONEY". John Chow today reportedly charges in excess of $400 for a review. If he does three such reviews in a month, his income from blogging will be one cool $1200.

Smaller bloggers like Tyler Cruz presently charges around $140 for a review. Now that's solid income, and if you can become good at writing reviews, this income will keep coming. Of course, you may not be able to start at a big price, but hey, anything from $10 to $100 for a blog post sure beats the heck out of any other form of advertising. The best part is that if you are blogger, you get to earn money by what you do best... blog.

Asyan Zivan makes consistent profits from writing paid reviews on several blogs. You can do so too by reading this article on how to go about writing and getting paid for reviews.
